Shoghi Effendi developed in Haifa during the last nine years of his life the spiritual and administrative institutions of the World Centre of the faith on Mount Carmel and in Akka. It was Dr. Giachery´s privilege to participate in nearly every aspect of these mighty undertaking and his account of the work done in Italy for the erection of the golden-dome superstructure of the Shrine of the Bab and the International Archives is unique.
